New Limestone Review
New Limestone Review is the literary journal of the University of Kentucky's MFA in Creative Writing Program. We are currently accepting submissions in fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, art, and photography.
Guidelines:
- Fiction : 5,000 words or less
- Creative nonfiction: 5,000 words or less
- Poetry: up to five poems, no more than 10 pages
- Flash Fiction: 1,000 words or less
- Art and Photography: up to 5 pieces
- You may submit for multiple genres
- Include a cover letter with a third-person bio of 100 words or less for each submission
- We permit simultaneous submissions
- We do not accept previously published work
Miscellaneous:
- New Limestone Review does not offer payment at this time.
- Current UK students, staff, and faculty may not submit to New Limestone Review. Former students, staff, and faculty may submit after two years of disaffiliation.

Photography & Visual Art
- Submit a maximum of five photographs or images of art.
- Submit photography and art as a PNG or JPEG, 300 DPI and minimum 600px. There is no need for photography or visual art submissions to be contained in a single file, i.e. you can upload multiple files to your submission.
- No graphic content, including racism, xenophobia, homophobia, sexism and other forms of intolerance
- Include a cover letter with a third-person bio of 100 words or less for each submission
- We permit simultaneous submissions, please notify us if your work is accepted elsewhere
